2026 BOM Border 2 Pattern + NEW Barn Star Pattern

This is going to be a very photo heavy post today. Not only do we have the next border in our In the Garden Mystery Border of the Month, but we also have a brand new Barn Star pattern plus two new Sewcialites block patterns.
First up, let’s talk about the next border for our sew-along. I know that’s the reason many of you are here today! This month, we are making 16 blocks. For those of you who wished for a bit more sewing last month, this month you’ll have plenty to keep you busy! =)

I took another photo of the quilt center in the same spot as I took the photo last month. I am amazed at how much greener things have become in just one month. Look at all of those green trees in the background. I’ll pop last month’s picture below so you can see just what I mean:

I’ll have to take the same photo next month so we can compare again!
You can download the pattern for Border 2 here.
The next border pattern will come out on June 20.
Last Saturday in our video, I mentioned that I was hoping to have the Barn Star pattern you saw me make a couple weeks ago available to purchase today. Good news!…the pattern is now available and I have the quilt back from David to show all of you. I wasn’t sure if I’d have it back in time to show in today’s video, but it arrived in the nick of time.

This is Barn Star 14 and it’s made using my Fruit Salad line of fabric.

It finishes at 40″ x 40″ just like all of the other Barn Star patterns in this series. I can’t believe we are up to 14 of these (well, 15 actually….you just won’t see that one for a bit). =)

Click below to purchase Barn Star 14 in either the Paper or PDF version.

It’s always fun adding new Barn Stars to this fun line-up of patterns.
Lastly, we have the most recent two Sewcialites block patterns.
Shoe Fly is block #12.

This is the block that came out last week.

You can download the Shoe Fly block here.
Block #13 came out this week.

It’s this cute little Back Porch Block.

You can download the Back Porch Block here.
Just like my Barn Star 14 quilt, my Sewcialites blocks are made using Fruit Salad fabrics.
I think that’s all of the information for today! Be sure to watch today’s video for more info about today’s pretties!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Corey

Fabric Requirements & Calendar

I thought, “Mystery Border BOM? I really think I’ll sit this one out”. OH! MY! I am in love with the color palette and grouping and grading of the colors. So, I find myself scraping together my pennies and scrambling to find fabrics. I must make this. Thank you Corey for your great ideas and for your wonderful tutorials. I learn so much from you.
Cutting is my least favorite part of the quilting process but it’s a lot of fun to be able to start sewing as soon as a new pattern is out! Border #2 is already done. Thanks, Corey, for all you put into your sew alongs!
I just finished border #2, and I am absolutely LOVING this quilt!! I’m using the Sunday Brunch collection by Basic Grey, and it’s beautiful. I had already purchased a half-yard bundle of In the Garden to make the Shine On sampler by Bonnie and Camille, so I wanted to use something I already had in my stash. Love your fabrics, love your patterns, and love your videos! Thanks for everything!
I have quilt tops in the closet, blocks to be turned into tops, squares cut to be turned into blocks to be turned into tops🤣 yet here I am thinking 🤔 I need to make this🤣liv the layout of how this quilt is going
