A Day of Sewing & October $5 pattern

I had such a fun day of sewing and I ticked off quite a few projects from my to do list. I had the fun of sharing all about it in today’s video. Here’s a little peek:

1. Do you remember those vintage sheets charm squares I talked about last week? Those have been turned into a quilt top.
2. My Sewcialites quilt is now officially finished with the addition of a border.
3. I made a table runner using my Jelly Sticks Mini quilt pattern and Birch & Willow fabrics.
All in one day of sewing! It was a very productive day…although there was that other project on my list I mentioned that you’ll have to wait until next week to see how it turns out!
Jelly Sticks Mini is the October $5 pattern of the month. It’s so pretty in the table runner size (lots of video of it over on YouTube).
Here’s the first Jelly Sticks mini quilt (24″ x 24″) top I made using Peachy Keen fabrics several years ago.

The blocks can be laid out 4 x 4 or 2 x 8 depending on your preference. It’s a charm pack friendly quilt pattern and a pretty quick one to sew up.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by! Corey

I am finishing up the Border of the month. I put on the 6th border. The left side used 30 squares (as pattern said). The right side used 29 blocks (1 less the pattern said). I guess I messed up by not sub-cutting the previous 3 skinny borders. I do not know how to fix. I probably wouldn’t care that much if using as a throw. However, I was planning to hang on a wall at the top of my stairs. So, I’m assuming it would look crooked when hung. I did use the Ten Sisters 2″ finished Easy piecing grid to sew these squares. Any idea how to fix?
Thanks,
