June 2022 WIPs & UFOs
Good Morning! Just a quick little video announcement & giveaway update.
I hope that you all have had a wonderful week!
I wanted to let you know that I just released my June WIPs & UFOs video. I think that this has been such a fun series…I hope you’ve been enjoying it as well. I love hearing what you are working on each month–go leave me a comment on my video to let me know what you have planned for June. =) You can catch the video here.
You’ve also been wondering about the Lone Star block giveaway. I have not yet announced a winner. If you missed out on entering, visit this post, and leave a comment for a chance to win. I will draw a winner on Wednesday.
Enjoy your weekend! Corey
Corey, I tried to comment to enter the drawing for the Lonestar blocks but the comment section doesn’t work.
I think I already commented, but just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your content.
I love everything you do. Thank you for sharing your creativity and knowledge.
I have way too many UFOs – I see something new and the UFos just appear 😳
My friend & I are sewing with you on the Beautiful Day mystery quilt. She is doing hers in Apricot and Ash. Do you know where she can purchase the wide backing for it, please?
Apricot & Ash did not have wide backing that came with the line. I really like how the gray wide backing from my Canning Day line of fabric looks with it. If she does a google search for “Canning Day wide backing twilight” it will pull up online quilt shops that still have yardage available.
I would absolutely love adopting these blocks! I love the gray background with these fabrics! Thank you for the opportunity!
I just dropped off myHeartfelt quilt at the longarmer. I love all the different heart themed blocks!
Corey, I love your videos and your fabrics, thank you for them. I would love to win the Lone Star blocks, not only are the beautiful, but I live in Texas, which is THE LONE STAR STATE! Thank you for all you do! ❤️
Corey, I’ve recently started following you more faithfully and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog! Before Covid hit I was working on finishing UFO’s, WIPs etc. I had a plan of listing 12 (one per month) to work on and I was plowing thru my list. When Covid hit and everything shut down I too shut down… I just felt blah (not sick just blah). I’ve recently started to get back to quilting and your blogs have helped me so THANK YOU. I’m back to choosing projects out of the many I have in various stages and actually working on them. What is working for me is I have 1 project that is difficult for me (think Judy Niemeyer-Quiltworxs Paradise in Bloom) and 11 that are not so hard, I’ve told myself work 5 days a week – goal is 1 day work the hard the other 4 days work the less hard, I gave myself a goal of sew/work on projects 20 minutes; lol that 20 minutes doesn’t sound like much but it got me started and now I find myself working 4-6 hours at a time! Plus I’ve given myself permission to decide I didn’t like a project and I’m setting those aside to give to a quilting charity who may have a use for them. Again THANK YOU for the inspiration!!!
Hi Corey, I so enjoy your videos. They are interesting and informative! Your fabric lines are always fun too.
I’m working on a scrappy charity quilt and a space quilt for the son.
Love your fabrics. Please re-issue (ish) your Apricot & Ash line! I got back into quilting after a 15-year hiatus and was too late!
Also, for Podcasts, I’m a Skip Hollandsworth groupie and I LOVED his Tom Brown’s Body podcast for Texas Monthly. I also enjoyed Mo Rocca’s Mobituaries, if you like learning oscure things!
Keep up the good work!
What batting do you use? Just watched your binding tutorial, I was very impressed! I have always hand stitched on the back. Do you not ever need a walking foot ?
I would love a chance to play with these blocks!
I tried to enter the one where you can win blocks from your 2018 Bees. Could not find it anywhere So I gave up. TY anyway.
Hi Corey! I love watching your videos and getting inspiration from your projects. Thank you for always being so genuine. 🙂 The Lone Star blocks are absolutely beautiful, and what a joy it would be to finish them! As a teacher, I’m looking forward to spending the summer quilting. I know that I will finally be able to cut into my fabulous “Beautiful Day” bundle, and I can’t wait! Yay for summer quilting!
Aloha Cory. I love your lone star blocks, as well as all your other projects on your blog. I especially like the Moda blockheads that you do.
Corey, I would be so honored to have something from you. I love these blocks and what a beautiful kind thing to do by giving these blocks to someone. I hope you pick me but whomever will be so fortunate to have these. Love your quilts, fabrics and just wish we lived closer so we could get together and sew!!!
I really enjoy reading your blog & find your videos especially helpful. Thank you for sharing your quilting passion!
I enjoy playing with your fabrics. Beautiful colors
