Moda Block Heads Block 50

Welcome to week 50 of Moda Block Heads.

This week our block, Night & Day, is brought to us by Laurie Simpson.  You will find the block pattern here.

For my block, I used Sugarcreek fabrics…the blues are from the Sugarcreek Wovens and the pink from the regular quilting cottons.  Every now and then, I think it’s fun to use the image on the pattern for color inspiration.

I also, inadvertently, switched the fabric placement on those triangles around my center patchwork.  But, everything matched up so nicely I wasn’t about to redo it!  Sometimes that’s the deciding factor isn’t it…if the seams are looking good, everything stays! =)

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas..I am sure many of you are celebrating the holiday a little bit differently this year but that doesn’t change the reason for the season! =)
