Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Blog Tour
It’s that time of year again!–Time for the Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks blog tour. I can’t believe that this is the 10th issue of this fantastic publication. Quilty Pleasures is featuring great giveaways during the blog tour and listing all of the participants for each day so you will want to make sure to stop over there.
I was excited to make it onto the cover of this issue–it’s always fun seeing it there. Can you guess which one it is?…. I’ll narrow it down for you:
But even more exciting, in my opinion was being block #1000! I’ve got a thing for numbers but even if I didn’t, this one would be pretty cool. Being at the end of the alphabet sometimes pays off. =p
This was such a fun block to design and make. And, it’s a perfect Star Block for a little Christmas quilt if you are still looking for Christmas ideas… 😉

I am hoping for a new fabric to add to my stash. One of my guilds has a “yards worth” fabric exchange in December. That way everyone who participates gets a yard of fabric, or 4 FQs, or 8 Eighths, etc, and gets to GIVE a yard of fabric. I hope mine is something new and different to challenge me in 2015.

I was really hoping that our daughter would be able to come home for Christmas or we could go see her. Sigh. But it will not happen.
So I am hoping for a civil war brooch. I am making myself a civil war dress for our sons wedding which will be civil war themed. And I know that a lot of the women wore brooches up at the neck.

I would wish for “one on one” sewing training on my new sewing machine (and maybe even a new, different sewing machine instead of a couple of hours interrupted with other customers coming in and out needing attention while I tried to learn this new machine – not being charged to learn how to use each foot.” Santa and those elves might want to give me a special training course.

A box of marzipan and a good book–I have a long list on Amazon for my loved ones to browse.
Anything quilt-related would be good — patterns, books, or fabric. But, if I had to choose something else, I would pick a fancy fish tank. I love aquariums and wouldn’t mind having one in my house!

First of all, I want my partner’s new Bi-ventricular indwelling cardioverter/defibrillator (ICD) to work perfectly and have him be comfortable with it.
After that, anything at all would be nice…a book or two or three, maybe some chocolate, a silpat mat for my cookie sheet, or just a kiss and a cuddle!
I would love a visit from one of my grown-up children; if not that, I would love holiday pictures from each of them!
I am hoping for EQ7, or gift cards to LQS or online fabric stores 🙂

My wish is not sewing related at all. I want doors for my kitchen cupboards. Haven’t had any for years. {Waiting on the procrastinator.}
I’m wishing for my mom to be able to visit for Christmas. A hip problem may delay that trip.
I got my present already, at least that’s what my husband said as I opened up my latest fabric order that had come in the mail. So I guess I got what I wanted…more fabric. Now I just need to get a copy of this 100 block magazine so I can sew up some new blocks. kthurn@bektel.com

All I really want is to spend time with my grand-daughter. But fabric or thread of any type would be acceptable as well.

Other than seeing my children happy on Christmas morning, I guess I’d like some fabric or new pots and pans (yawn).
