Round 4 Moda Block Heads, Block 19

I think this block turned out so pretty.  I always enjoy throwing in an “in color order” block or two….orange, yellow, green, blue.

This week, our block is brought to us by Robin Pickens.

You will find the block pattern available here.

You will find the link towards the bottom of the blog post in the link above.

I have one tip for the pressing of this block so that your HSTs will nest.  Using my block as an example, I pressed all of the HST’s with the clover fabric toward the clover fabric.  For all of my HST’s with the two pin dot fabrics, I pressed those toward the white pin dot.  By pressing this way, when it was time to sew the HST’s together the seams nested.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be releasing the fabric requirements for the “Oh, Happy Day!” block of the week tomorrow.

For this block of the week, we will be using blocks from my Oh, Happy Day! book and creating a beautiful sampler quilt.  I love the setting I’ve designed for this quilt.  It’s a mystery block of the week in that you won’t know which blocks we are using from the book or the final setting.

The sew along kicks off after Buttercup & Slate fabrics are in quilt shops and the kick-off date will be announced once we have a firmer date of their arrival (late August/September).

If you are thinking about participating in the sew along (or already know that you are!) be sure to stop back tomorrow to snag the fabric requirements.  You will also need a copy of Oh, Happy Day! to participate.

Also, a reminder that Sun Twist is my July $5 pattern of the month.  Just a few more days to grab it at that price.  You can find it in my Etsy shop here.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
