Round 4 Moda Block Heads: Block 5
Another Wednesday means another Moda Blockheads block. =) Our block this week is brought to us by Barb of Me & My Sister Designs.
Greek Cross is the block Barb is sharing today. She’s written up a really fun post over on the Moda blog. You will find the PDF for the block today as well as a fun little pattern Barb has designed for us using 4 of these blocks in that blog post.
Click here to visit the Moda Blog for the block pattern.
This is a fun little pattern. Depending on your background/print placement, you can end up with a little plus block as I have or a churn dash type block. It’ll be fun to see if the fellow blockheads make more “plus” blocks or more “churn dash” blocks.
I shared three more videos since my last Moda Block Heads post. If you missed them, you can find them on my YouTube channel here. I shared all of the new quilts for my Buttercup & Slate patterns, I released the next block in my Beautiful Day Mystery BOM (and demo’d a great HST ruler), and I shared the next installment in my Making of a Book series.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Sewing! Corey

So adorable!. I’m regretting no using my Cozy Up for BH4, but it’s a woman’s prerogative to change my mind, right?!
As many times as you’d like! =)
Corey, Hi. Are you using one of your designs for all Block Heads? I love Cozy Up. Will a layer cake be enough or do I need more? Pat
I am using Cozy Up for all of my blocks. The fabric requirements depend on the size blocks that you make. Moda shared them here: https://modafabrics.com/inspiration-resources/blockheads-4-introduction
My best quilty-friend and I live in different states from one another, but we get on zoom to quilt together every week. This is our first BH quilt and we’re so excited!!! I am using the Spring Brook layer cake : ) I love seeing the variations in the different blocks that each designer shows. This isn’t BH related, but I was wondering if you might have any plans for a collection to be released that is similar to Flower Mill? I purchased a mini charm pack of it to make the mini neighborhood quilt, and I fell in love with the colors and patterns!
