Round 4 Moda Block Heads, Block 17

Camille Roskelley of Thimbleblossoms brings us Block 17 for this round of Moda Blockheads.

It’s so fun to have Camille joining us for this round and her block, Shoreline, is such a pretty one.

Block details:

I, of course, used Cozy Up for my block.  I hadn’t planned on using the check for the star center…I was going to use the acorn fabric (same as the star points).  As I started cutting out the block, I made a quick fabric change.  I’m glad that I did, it gives it a little bit of extra pizzazz. =)

I did bump up the measurement on the squares I cut for the HST’s so I could trim those down.  I always do that if the measurement given is any eighth fraction…just round it up at least another 1/8th sometimes even a 1/4″.  It makes trimming them down a breeze.
