Sewcialites Block 30
It is block 30 of our Sewcialites sew along. Someone asked me last week how many blocks total there were and I thought maybe some of you were wondering the same thing. I know I had to look up that info when I was asked. There are 36 blocks total…just 6 more after this one, and the last block is released on June 18. This is perfect timing because the Sampler Spree QAL kicks off on June 16.
I will share more about that sew along in case you hadn’t heard about it at the bottom of this post. First let me talk just a bit about our Sewcialites block for today. It is called Gratitude and it is brought to us by Camille of Thimbleblossoms.
All of the blocks that have been released so far can all be downloaded here–so be sure to bookmark this link! This is the handiest spot to visit to download the blocks. Click to page 2 for today’s block. =)
I am using Spring Brook fabrics for my blocks and this little bee fabric was so fun for this block. I think I managed to chop up every single last one but still thought it was pretty cute. =)
As I’ve said before, I have really been enjoying these fabrics for Spring. I snapped the picture above yesterday of my Company Picnic quilt. It perfectly matches the pillow covers I purchased last month…I love a little pop of sunshiney color. =)
And now, I had mentioned another sew along starting June 16. Do you guys have a limit on numbers of sew alongs you participate in?–there are so many good ones!
The one launching on June 16 is the Sampler Spree QAL.
We will be using Susan Ache’s, Sampler Spree book and making blocks by color each week. This is a great time to dig into your scrap bin and make some fun blocks. You can read more about the QAL here.
So, just in case you were thinking you might like a fun summer sew along, this might be it. =)
Have a wonderful weekend! Corey
