Sewcialites Round 2, Block 20
The little “simply flowers” in the center of this block is so cute! That fabric was the perfect thing for the center of this block. Plus, before too long, we will have an abundance of simply flowers as we make our way into springtime. =)
This is the 20th block in the Sewcialites sew along and it’s brought to us by Sherri McConnell.
You will find the free block pattern here.
To simplify this block even more, I opted to use a bit of strip piecing for the 4 patches by cutting 1″ x 2″ rectangles instead of individual squares. I also used 1″ triangle paper for the HSTs in the corners.
I also wanted to let you all know that I’ve added just a few Sunwashed scrap bundles to my Etsy shop. SCRAP BUNDLES HAVE SOLD OUT.
You will find them for sale here.
And while you are in the shop, don’t forget about the March $5 pattern of the month, Company Picnic:
Both the PDF and the Paper versions of this pattern are $5 for this month. You can find the pattern here.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! Corey
Hi Corey, I have a question about the Sewcialites program — now that the blocks are completed will there be setting ideas offered for using the blocks? Happy rainy Ohio day . . .
We still have 4 more blocks to go but, yes, there has been a setting released. If you scroll down to the bottom of the Sewcialites 2 page: https://shrsl.com/3z8ms you will found a round 2 setting. The round 1 setting also found at the bottom of that page is another option. I have also seen some people using my Blockheads Round 4 setting for their 9″ blocks…that setting can be found here: https://corianderquilts.com/blockheads-round-4-layout-information/
