Sunday Best Sampler Quilt Along

Happy Friday friends–We are getting ready for a long weekend and what better way to celebrate than a little bit of fabric shopping.  To help you in that regard, Sherri and I are announcing the fabric requirements for our Sunday Best Sampler.

If you missed out on hearing about our Sunday Best Sew Along, be sure to check out my blog post here.

Our Sew Along kicks off on Friday, September 27 and will run through December 20, 1 block per week and then finishing instructions on 12/20.  I used Sugarcreek fabric for my quilt:

and Sherri used Harper’s Garden for her quilt.  Both of these lines ship in September so you should be able to purchase those for the sew along if you wanted to.

The two solids I used in my quilt (in addition to the prints) are Moda Bella in Etchings Slate (9900-170) which can be purchased here and Moda Bella in Off White (9900-200) which can be purchased here.  The binding stripe I used is from Sugarcreek.  That little plus print you see peeking out for the backing is from Strawberry Jam and it is a 108″ wide backing.

David of Quilting by David did the beautiful quilting on my sampler.

And here are the fabric requirements:

1 FQ bundle (30-40 FQ’s)
1 1/4 yard contrast fabric for border squares and sashing (this is the gray solid in my quilt)
4 1/4 yards background fabric
3/4 yard binding fabric
Backing (without border) 5 1/3 yards (you will only need 2 1/8 yards if you use 108″ like I did)
Backing (with border) 6 2/3 yards
We cannot wait to sew along with all of you next month!  We would love to see the fabrics you are choosing for your sampler.  Be sure to use #SundayBestQuiltsSampler on Instagram so we can see. =)
And just one last thing…I run a monthly $5 pattern each month.  For just a few more days, you can receive my Lemon Meringue pattern for just $5.
This quilt can be made using the panel from Sunnyside Up or by making all pieced blocks.  The pattern can be purchased in my Etsy shop. Additionally, if you haven’t picked up a copy of Sunday Best Quilts and would like to join in with the sew along, I have a few signed copies in my shop. UPDATE: I have sold out of my Sunday Best Quilts book but will have more in my shop next week.
Have a wonderful weekend!
