Friday Favorites

Many of my favorite things involve fabric but…I have decided to change it up a bit. Let’s talk tea–I must say, that I am not usually a huge hot tea drinker, I like a nice cup of chai every now and then or a nice mint tea(but, do not get me started on my love of sweet tea). Why, in fact, just this afternoon my 4 year old asked me on the way home from good old Wal-mart if we could swing on into Wendy’s for 2 “fweet” teas(there are so few words she still pronounces cutely & I love this one) one for me and one for her. We do love our “fweet” tea. We didn’t stop, by the way, just in case you were wondering. =)

Anyhoo, I recently received a sachet of tea with a fabric purchase I made–see, it really all does begin with fabric. =) If I could remember the online store I purchased it from I would be shooting them a huge thank you. This is the tea to which I refer… Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea…I am telling you it is a party in your mouth, just fab!

Aside from the overall yumminess, this tea requires no sugar…I kid you not. Pause and think about that for a moment–how often can you enjoy a cup of sugarless tea unless you are trying to convince yourself that it is good for you…yeah right, that lasts until January 3rd. I don’t know how they do it but it is amazing–you’ve really got to give it a whirl.

I come from a long line of tea drinkers. A good old fashioned cuppa has been the catalyst for solving many a problem, discussing the greater questions of life – such as a new pair of shoes or a handbag? – soothing a broken heart, warming its cockles or contemplating one's existence. A good black tea with milk in first. No sugar. A nice fine bone china teapot and cup are the go. Aaaahhhh….
