Moda Block Heads Block 47

Today I am going to be sharing about this weeks Moda Block Heads block as well as my progress on my Apricot & Ash Sampler blocks.

First up, our block for Moda Block Heads is brought to us by Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic.  You will find the “Where to Go” block on her blog.

I cut and pieced this block yesterday in no time.. it’s quick to cut out and quick to sew.  Those are fun to have sprinkled throughout our quilt. =)

The fabrics are a mix of Sugarcreek and Canning Day.  It’s just a springy, fun block.

I shared this plan for an Apricot & Ash version of the sampler quilt from my A Very Coriander Christmas Book a few months ago.  I have been slowly making the blocks as I have time each month and just completed Block 8 of the sampler on Monday.  So, I thought that I would share my completed blocks so far here.

I shared the first two blocks previously, but here they are again:

#1 “Spread Joy” Block

#2 “Sparkle & Shine” Block

There is also a bonus quilt in the book using the Sparkle & Shine block.  Moving on to the next 6 blocks:

#3 “Give A Gift” Block

#4 “Holiday Cheer” Block

#5 “Share A Smile” Block

#6 “Laugh with Friends” Block

#7 “Fireside” Block

#8 “Believe in Magic” Block

I took the photo for the last block, Believe in Magic, just yesterday atop a fresh blanket of snow.  It was such fun to have our first real snowfall of the year.  Enough snow for sled riding and outside fun.

I have really been enjoying making these blocks in Apricot & Ash and I’ve been enjoying seeing the Holliberry versions popping up as well.  If you’d like a signed copy of my book, A Very Coriander Christmas, that includes all of these blocks plus several more, I have signed copies available in my shop.

A Very Coriander Christmas book

If you are a quilt shop offering A Very Coriander Christmas as a block of the month, feel free to leave your info in the comments below.  I have seen the BOM being offered in Holliberry, Apricot & Ash, as well as Spring Brook (when it ships in 2021).

Be sure to pop by the other Moda Block Heads designers to see what they are up to today.  Happy Sewing!

Hello I just started quilting and wondered if you have a blockheads sew along starting Jan 2021 or any other sew along Jan 2021. I feel I am far behind to do blockheads 3 but I might try it out 😊 I’m very excited to have this new hobby I just received your checks mix book I love it

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
