Sewcialites Round 2, Block 9

Are you all rested up from no block last week and ready for a new Sewcialites block this week?

Today, our block is brought to us by Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic.

You can download the free block pattern here.

I really enjoyed piecing this block.  I couldn’t resist fussy cutting that bee from my Spring Brook line for the center of this block.  I used the 1″ square-in-a-square paper for my center.  That’s the size you would need for the 3″ block size.  I’ve already sewn another block we are making in a few weeks and I had to put another little bee in the center.  I thought it was so sweet. =)

Ignore my little scribblings at the bottom of the patter…just a little bit of scratch paper notes for something else. =)

I also wanted to give you a quick reminder that there are just a couple more days left this month to grab the Summer Weekend quilt pattern for $5.

It’s available in my Etsy shop in either PDF or Paper versions for $5 through the end of the year.

Thank you so much for a fun 2023!…I hope you all enjoy stitching up your Sewcialites block and have a very Happy New Year! Corey

I am truly loving your blocks. So intricate. I’m not sure I could ever do a 3” block, but I love admiring yours.

I would love a video on how to take a 6” pattern block and learn how to reduce to 3” or to increase to 9”,12”. Just an idea. = )

I just love the bee in the center. I’d be afraid I’d cut off “the bee’s knees” (LOL). It is adorable!

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
