Spring Brook Blossoms: Bluebell Block (Block 6)

Welcome to the last post for the Spring Brook Blossoms block of the month.  In today’s post, I will be sharing Block 6, the Bluebell block, as well as the finishing instructions for our quilt.  I have also teamed up with David, my long arm quilter, for a wonderful giveaway.  So be sure to keep reading. =)

The centers of the Bluebell block feature a Sawtooth star block.  You will find the pattern for this block available here.

I bet many of you, if not all!, have made a sawtooth star block at some point in making quilts so this one should be a nice one to finish on. =)

Once you have completed your final two blocks, you will be ready to sew them together into your completed quilt top.

You will find the Spring Brook Blossoms Finishing Instructions here.

I love all of that white space for showing off the quilting that Quiltable designed to perfectly coordinate with this quilt and the Spring Brook Fabrics.

Those bees are so cute!–they are the perfect compliment to the quilt with happy bees buzzing around our garden of flowers. =)  You can ask your long arm quilter to quilt this quilting design or any of the other designed by Quiltable.

David, who quilted my Spring Brook Blossoms quilt for me has generously offered to give away a quilting service to one of you.  The winner will receive free quilting for their Spring Brook Blossoms quilt.  You will be responsible for the shipping/batting fees.  I really enjoy working with David…you can see 1000’s of the quilts he has quilted–getting close to 10,000 on his Instagram.  And he has an extensive selection of quilting designs you can see on his website.  He also has a running gallery of his most recently quilted quilts on his website here.

One of my favorite quilts he quilted for me is my Sprinkling quilt:

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED AND THE WINNER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED.

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment with your next quilting project once you finish your Spring Brook Blossoms quilt.  I will draw a winner next Monday, September 27.

And now just a couple more pieces of information.  Cozy Up yardage will be shipping to your favorite quilt shops very soon.  So, you might be working on a fun fall project next. =)  Just a reminder, you will find the free, Autumnal, quilt pattern here.

And, my $5 pattern for September is Leaves which features Cozy Up:

You’ll find the Leaves pattern in my Etsy shop in either PDF or Paper formats.

I hope you have all enjoyed sewing along this spring/summer making your Spring Brook Blossoms blocks.  I know it has been fun seeing your gardens grow!  Using #springbrookblossomsbom on Instagram you can see so many pretty blocks & they have been fun to see in my Facebook group as well.

Happy sewing and have a wonderful Monday! Corey
