Beautiful Day Quilts

Picket Fence Cottages Quilt

I’m excited to share my Beautiful Day quilts and new patterns with you today.  There is a lot to share!–I may have gone overboard with all things Beautiful Day–it is such a fun line to work with. =)

First up, the quilt at the top of the page is Picket Fence Cottages.  Remember I said the sashing just makes the quilt…when everything is joined together, this quilt makes the prettiest cottages all joined together with a sweet Picket Fence.

The blocks in this quilt are big blocks!–they finish at 18″.  The quilt finishes at 74″ x 95″ and it is a fat eighth friendly quilt.  My sample quilt was quilted by Kaylene Parry using an upside down clamshell.  I thought it was just what this quilt needed.  All of my new patterns are available in my shop in both PDF or Paper versions.

Blossomville Quilt

Blossomville is also a fat eighth friendly quilt.  It finishes at 72″ x 84″ and was quilted by Kaylene Parry.

I think flower quilts are so much fun and this collection needed one. =)  Tiggs was a fan of this quilt also. =)

Rosebud Waltz is a layer cake quilt pattern and it is such a great pattern for showing all of the pretty prints in the Beautiful Day line.

Rosebud Waltz Quilt

Rosebud Waltz finishes at 70″ x 82″.  Kaylene Parry also quilted this quilt for me.

Star Twist is a fat quarter quilt that finishes at 63″ x 78″.  The fabric I used for the borders and sashing is one of my favorite prints from this line and I purchased a bolt for myself–it’s so pretty!  It adds something so special to this quilt.

Star Twist Quilt

Kaylene Parry quilted Star Twist for me.

There is a boxed kit quilt for this collection and it takes my breath away!  Simply Beautiful is the name of the quilt and it uses the white panel, the red panel, and several Beautiful Day prints.  It finishes at 74″ x 90″.

Simply Beautiful Quilt

I love a quilt that looks harder to make than it actually is.  This is such a simple quilt to piece but, oh my goodness!–what a feast for the eyes.  Kaylene’s quilting on this one is just perfect for the quilt.

PS…the outer border fabric on this quilt in the red, dark gray, and light gray colorways will be available in 108″ wide fabric.  Yay for wide backing fabric!  I also purchased bolts of all of them for myself.

Speaking of the panels…the Beautiful Day panels are 60″ wide.  Two yards of the panel equals a whole cloth quilt that measures approximately 60″ x 72″.  I had Rebecca Silbaugh of Ruby Blue Quilting custom quilt two whole cloth quilts for me using just the panels.  They are so pretty!

Whole Cloth panel quilts

I love that the panels can be used on their own or mixed in with pieced blocks.  The Beautiful Day panels are the same size as the panels I designed for Apricot & Ash.  This means that any of the patterns using the panel in that collection will work for Beautiful Day.  Here is Friendly Neighbor in Beautiful Day:

And here is Easy Peasy in Beautiful Day.

The Easy Peasy pattern is a free pattern I released with Apricot & Ash.  You can still find the PDF in this post and see the original quilt in Apricot & Ash.

I also designed a free pattern, Beautifully Charming, for the Beautiful Day fabric line.  It will release when Beautiful Day comes out (probably in January).

Beautifully Charming Quilts

Beautifully Charming is a charm pack friendly quilt.  I couldn’t decided if I wanted a gray or a red version so we had to make both!  Kaylene quilted both of them for me.

And here is the full quilt in gray.

Beautifully Charming in Gray

Beautifully Charming finishes at 70″ x 70″ and uses one charm pack plus background/sashing/borders.

I also wanted to show you what the A Very Coriander Christmas main quilt would look like in Beautiful Day.

And, just like I did with Apricot & Ash in this blog post, I have provided the fabric numbers to switch the original quilt (which was made in Holliberry) to Beautiful Day fabrics.

The numbers in green in this PDF are the Beautiful Day replacement fabrics that correspond with what you see for Holliberry.

My “A Very Coriander Christmas” book is in quilt shops now and I have signed copies available in my shop if you would like to purchase one for yourself.

The last thing I wanted to share today are the basics matches for Beautiful Day.  These are some basics (Bellas, Thatched, Grunge) that I think mix nicely.  The white Bella, not pictured, would be 9900-200:

I told you there were so many fun things to share!  As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, all of the new patterns (except for the freebie pattern coming later) can be found in my Etsy shop.  I do have a Beautiful Day pattern bundle for sale here.  Beautiful Day fabrics should be shipping early 2021.

And don’t forget about the Beautiful Day charity quilt that I shared about here.

Thank you so much for reading & have a Beautiful Day! Corey

How do we choose which quilt to make? I love them all. Simply Beautiful really caught my eye. I love the concept of cutting the panels apart, which is something I’ve not yet done. Generally I use a white on white background, but the floral you used on Star Twist and Heartfelt is perfection. Thank you for all the ideas.
