FMF/KJR Quilt Top

My little squares have officially turned themselves into a full fledged quilt.  I used this free pattern & made the quilt slightly smaller–my quilt is 7 squares by 9 squares & I did a pieced center instead of one solid square.  Incidentally, doing the squares as I did uses almost the same amount of fabric as doing a solid center.

I plan to add a solid white border yet to really frame it out.  Then it will be ready for quilting–I’m planning on some straight line quilting of some sort.

Modern Relief is kicking off another round to benefit Japan.  If you’d like a chance to call this quilt your own…stay tuned! =)

Love it… Absolutely do. I was trying to envision how you would put the squares together when I saw the blocks you made – nothing like I imagined but a lot better.

I LOVE this!! I have to say though that when I looked at the pattern that you linked, it really looks very little like your end product (yours is much nicer). I think you should write yours up the way you made it. I’d buy that pattern. 🙂
