Introducing Sunwashed Fabrics

Happy Tuesday!  As I mentioned yesterday, I am back today to share with you my latest fabric line, Sunwashed, which will be shipping to quilt shops in early 2023.  With an extra line this year (Coriander Seeds), it seems like I was just sharing new fabrics not that long ago!

While we wait for Buttercup & Slate to hit quilt shops before too long, I thought it would be fun to share Sunwashed with all of you. =)  Sunwashed is full of flowers both large and small (of course!) and great basic prints (yay for more colors of x print!).  I am so happy to have that large check fabric coming in even more colors too.  That print is so much fun to add to quilt blocks.  If you’ve been following along with my Moda Blockheads blocks, you’ve seen me using it often.

Let’s start with the navy in this line. =)  It has been so much fun to have navy in this collection.  It’s the first time I’ve included it and it’s been a really fun addition.  Navy as well as the next blue shade I will share are two new colors to the Coriander palette.  The rest of the colors in this line we’ve seen in some of my other collections.

It’s so fun to see how the navy pairs with all of my old favorites.  The second blue shade I’ve included in this line is a really pretty medium blue.  I think it’s such a pretty shade and it mixes so nicely with all of the other colors.

Then we have the pinks and the pinky reds.  I’ve really enjoyed the blues and the reds together…it’s allowed me to play with a red/white/blue theme for my new quilt patterns which has been fun.

I’ve been sharing pictures of the new quilts on Instagram and Facebook but if you haven’t seen them yet, you can see the new patterns in my Etsy shop.  I will also be sharing and chatting about the new quilts here and on my YouTube channel shortly.  Speaking of my YouTube channel, I have a brand new video there sharing all about the new fabrics if you’d like to see them in more detail and hear me chat a bit more about them.  You can find the video here.  If you watch to the end of the video I share a little behind the scenes of making this fabric line as well as show a few prints that didn’t make the cut.  If you like that sort of insider info, make sure to check out the video. =)

Next up in our rainbow of colors, are the yellows and corals.  These two colors always have my heart. =)  And that second print from the top, Bittie Buds, I love in every color.  It is the sweetest print.

Rounding out the collection are the whites and greens.  The main print in this collection is so summery and fresh.  This whole collection sings of summertime, sunshine, picnics, and happiness. =)

As I mentioned up above, Sunwashed will be shipping to quilt shops in early 2023.  We have so many fun things planned for this collection!  If you’d love to see Sunwashed in your favorite quilt shop, be sure to let them know now!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I’d love to know which colorway of Sunwashed is your favorite!…drop me a comment and let me know! Corey

Normally I would pick the blue line, my favorite color. This time I’m going to pick the Whites
and Greens. It speaks Fresh off the Clothes line to me.

Beautiful collection Corey! It is hard to choose a favorite, but I will always lean toward blues…….choosing one of the two is impossible, they are both so perfect!!

  11. Patricia Atkinson says:

The red and blues round out this collection so nicely. It reminds me of a field of wildflowerrs – the bluebonnets and indian paintbrushes like we see here in Texas. Just scrumptious!.

  12. I like when a collection has lights, mediums and darks…. and this is just beautiful!

  13. Kay says:

👏Love them all ❤️ and already put in my pre-order!

  14. Sally C. says:

Wonderful colour palette as always Corey, especially love the medium blue as it reminds me of the Texas Blue Bonnet flower, Texas is where I met my husband so it always has a place in my heart and blue is my favourite colour.

  15. Patti Mac says:

Oh my gosh I love this line! The navy colorway is my favorite if I had to pick, but I really love them all…and that doesn’t happen very often.

As everyone is commenting, the whole collection is gorgeous. I kept looking at the line, and I found my heart being drawn to those sunny yellows, peaches, and pinks. I also really like the white low volume prints. But I can’t forget the beautiful blues. Oh! I guess I love it all ❤️.

I am still waiting for Buttercup and Slate to reach my fabric store. But of this line I like the coral and yellow, I tend to shy away from red, white and blue quilts. I am patriotic but I just don’t make those types of quilts and you said this line was going to run towards that them so I will probably extra Buttercup and Slate because I love all of that line.

    • Corey says:

I didn’t mean that this lines is a patriotic line, what I meant was that if you use just the Navy & Red prints you can make a patriotic quilt. =) This line has a lot of mix and match possibilities with so many different colors in it.

  20. Debbie says:

Such a beautiful line! I love that you added the blues, the navy is gorgeous!

    • Corey says:

Thank you so much!…I really like the addition of navy in this collection! =) It provides such nice contrast to the rest of the line.

  30. Vicki Willard says:

Hi Corey! Love the new line! I have a question about your Sunny Stitches thread kit. I can’t find it anywhere and was wondering if you could give me the thread color numbers so that I could purchase them separately. I loved your hand quilting video from 2017, but the thread pack is no longer available.

  31. Stephanie Schardt says:

How can I get one yard of the sun washed yellow top fabric?

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
