Moda Block Heads Block 52

In just a few short weeks this round of Moda Block Heads will be a wrap.  Here is block 52 for us this week.

Intersection is designed for us by Stacy Iest Hsu and you will find the free block pattern on her blog today.  This was such a fun block to make scrappy–I used four different lines in my block above and chose a different color for each piece.  This block looks fairly simple to piece but you will need to pay attention to those “Intersection” points to have everything line up neatly.

I sent my completed quilt top off to my quilter yesterday and I am so happy with how it turned out.    These last few blocks are so much fun!

In other news, a new month brings a new $5 pattern.  For this month, I have chosen my Idyllic pattern.

This quilt looks much more complicated to piece than it actually is.  It is made up of flying geese and HST’s.

The print version is made using 30 fat eighths and the solid version is made using two different solids.  The yellow color I used is Goldenrod and it is a Bella Solid and probably my favorite shade of yellow–it’s almost that cheddar orange color we love seeing in vintage quilts.

The Idyllic quilt finishes at 82″ x 98″ and could easily be enlarged to larger bed sized quilt by adding borders.

You will find the pattern in my shop in either PDF or Paper versions.  No code needed to receive the discounted price.

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.

  1. I have drooled over all the blockheads 3. And, now they’re near the end! Can you tell me if there will be a Moda Blockheads 4? If so, what will be the starting date. I’d really like to participate.

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
