Moda Blockheads Round 5 (Group 2): Block 9

Our Moda Blockheads block for today is one of my favorite quilt blocks, the Ohio Star block. It’s brought to us by Deb Strain…she’s another Ohio girl so that makes sense that it’s one of her favorites also.

I went with the 12″ size this week. The larger squares in this block are a great place to use some of your larger scale fabrics that might not have worked as well in some of the other blocks. The two fabrics are both from Blueberry Delight by Anne Sutton.

You can download the block pattern here.

Enjoy your Wednesday! Corey

Cory, your take on the Moda block of the week is always so darn cute and I look forward to seeing it each week. I’ve loved your fabric selections of Peachy Keen and Blueberry Delight. They go so well together.

Someone told me that there are books for the Blockheads quilt series. If so, where can I find it? The printed pages are hard to keep up with and I love the blocks.

The blocks from the first round of Blockheads were compiled into a book. It’s available in quilt shops or on Amazon. None of the other rounds were made into books.

I love this block. So crisp and clean with it’s blues and whites. Your blocks are always so much fun.

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
