Oh, Happy Day! Sampler Sew Along Week 7

Guess which block we are making today for our Oh, Happy Day! sampler.  I hope you are feeling festive! =)

Block #7 is the Twinkle & Shine block.  I really enjoyed making up this block using Buttercup & Slate fabrics…it has such a different feel from the festive holiday fun of the original quilt.

I mentioned in today’s video that I have had this quilt in my sketchbook for a long time.  In thinking back, I remember exactly where I was when I sketched it up and I have to think it was around 2015. =)

And look how pretty this block is in Buttercup & Slate!

Cutting and Piecing Instructions for today’s block:

Turn to page 77 in your Oh, Happy Day! book.  Under the “Materials” section, cut the pieces listed under “brown floral”, “cream solid”, and “light floral”.

The piecing instructions for today’s block can be found on pages 72-74.

In step 2, you will need 4 units. In step 3 you will need 8 units.  In step 4, you will need 4 units.

If  you are new here and unfamiliar with this sew along, you can read more about it here.   For those of you that have been following along the whole time, we have just two more blocks to go and then comes the fun setting.  Be sure to stop by the YouTube channel and watch today’s video for additional piecing/pressing tips.

Have fun sewing up your Twinkle & Shine Block! Corey

Love the Twinkle & Shine quilt in Christmas colors! And LOVE the pantograph choice! Can you share the name of the pantograph used? Or the longarmer that quilted it? I’d love to make this quilt for Christmas!

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
