Round 4 Moda Block Heads, Block 18

Today is another Blockheads day!  Before I share about our block, I wanted to let you know that I will be releasing the fabric requirements, setting instructions, and a pressing video for my layout for this round of Blockheads tomorrow.

If you missed the image of my layout, you can see it here.  If that is a layout that interests you, be sure to pop by tomorrow.

Let’s move onto our block for today, Crowning Glory.  This block is brought to us by Betsy Chutchian. You will find the PDF pattern here. The link is at the bottom of the blog post.

Betsy sometimes brings us a “crown” type block when it’s her turn for Blockheads and they are always quite fun.  Here’s a peek at some of her previous blocks:

Crown & Star from Round 3:

Crown & Star Block

And 12 Crowns from Round 2:

Aren’t they pretty!  You could easily make a “crown sampler’ just using these sort of blocks.

For my block this week, I opted for another fussy cut, checked center–this time, the yellow check.  My white pin dot background fabric was originally from Cozy Up and is available again in Coriander Seeds so you can add some to your stash if you’d like to as it’s in quilt shops right now.

I hope you enjoy sewing up your block & I’ll see you back here tomorrow…happy sewing! Corey

Getting ready to start the Star Twist pattern and wondering what “seeds” print you would recommend for the stars? You always seem to be about to pick just the right fabric!

Hi Corey, I noticed on your blog, over to the left, under Instagram, there is a picture of Sunwashed. All I can say is WOW, I’m in heaven. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the gorgeous colors and print. That certainly something to look forward to in the new year ❤️❤️❤️

It will be coming out in January and there is so much fun happening with it. =) I will share more about it here on the blog before too long.
