I've just released another free scrappy quilt block pattern. This makes the 9th block in this series. Today's block pattern is a scrappy butterfly block. It pairs so beautifully with the scrappy clover block as well as the scrappy tulip block...such fun springtime blocks. The Cuddle Up Sampler sew along will be kicking off this summer. I've chatted about this sew along in previous blog posts and YouTube videos. In preparation for the sew along, I will be releasing a Cuddle Up Sampler sew along video on my YouTube channel and blog post. I have been receiving requests for where customers can purchase kits for the sew along and I'd love to provide customers with as much information as possible. I am just starting to use perle cotton but I want to know where do you get your fabulous colors. because joanns and hobby lobby only have boring colors. like black, white maybe red

I decided to use DMC Pearl cotton #8 instead of floss. Was lucky enough to have a shop here in Eugene that carries a large selection of pearl cotton but if you don’t have one in your town try Nordic Needle at http://www.nordicneedle.com/. One thing to know, DMC pearl cotton is not made in all the same colors as the floss. I had to go one shade lighter/darker when I picked out mine.
