A Very Coriander Christmas in Starberry Fabrics

Good morning and Happy Friday! I had promised to share a re-coloring of A Very Coriander Christmas using Starberry fabrics and here it is. =)

Starberry fabrics are set to arrive in quilt shops in May. At this point, I am anticipating arrival into quilt shops in mid to late May.

My original Coriander Christmas quilt was made using Holliberry fabrics:

A Very Coriander Christmas Book

As many of you know, I am also making another version using Apricot & Ash:

A Very Coriander Christmas quilt in Apricot & Ash

The blocks have been so pretty to make using a non-Christmas line of  fabric as well.

This quilt is going to be so pretty in Starberry fabrics too!

Here is a printable PDF that lists the prints and yardage requirements to make the Coriander Christmas quilt using Starberry fabrics.

If you’ve missed purchasing the A Very Coriander Christmas book, I have signed copies for sale in my Etsy shop. It includes the sampler quilt plus a bonus quilt pattern.

You will be able to purchase Starberry fabrics in your favorite quilt shop once they start shipping in May.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Friday! Corey

Hi Corey! Though I do have your book, I missed making A Very Coriander Christmas quilt the first time around. Hoping I can make it with your new Starberry fabrics. The colors look bolder & brighter & I love them!

I have been going through my quilting fabrics and supplies, including patterns and books, to send to my niece who has become a quilter. Just yesterday I held the Very Coriander Christmas book in my hands and placed it firmly in the stack of “keep” items. I have made Christmas quilts for others but never made one for myself and purchased your book for that purpose, then decided this should be the year I make my own Christmas quilt. Thank you so much for sharing your example and fabric requirements for making this quilt in your Starberry fabrics.

Oh my goodness — I loved the quilt in the original versions of Holliberry and Apricot & Ash, but it is SO very beautiful in Starberry!!! I can’t wait to see that come to life! 🙂

  5. Sue Baker says:

Thanks, Corey! The quilt looks awesome in Starberry!

All versions of a Very Coriander Christmas are just beautiful. I wish Apricot & Ash was still available. Thanks so much for sharing the yardage information and the graphic of the recolored quilt.

I love love love this quilt in the Starberry Fabric! But I haven’t been quilting very long and I have a question about the fabric requirements. By my very rough quick math, it looks like it is requiring like 13 yards of fabric to make the quilt top and binding (not counting the backing fabric). It says 7 yards of fabric alone is needed in the white fabric. Maybe I am reading this wrong…it just seems like a lot of fabric. Or maybe its just for a king size quilt…do you have other sizes in the pattern? Sorry if these are stupid questions…

This book is published by It’s Sew Emma (a division of Fat Quarter Shop). FQS is always very generous with the yardages in all of their publications.

  8. Renee Railsback says:

Is there a mis-print on the 7 yards of the white fabric?

    Thank you,
    Renee

    • Corey says:

It is correct. If you have a copy of the book already, these are the same fabric requirements just updated to show which skus you would need in Starberry.

I just double checked that I’ve got my reservation in for when these fabrics arrive! I’m planning to make Cuddle Up Sampler and the too cute Deerly Loved. Then, hoping to buy enough extra to make that adorable Wooly Wall Hanging! 💝

Corey, that quilt in Starberry is scrumptious! I bought your book a couple of years ago, and now am ready to tackle it. What gorgeous fabric. Thanks for creating it. Love your style.

Hi Corey, I love the sampler in your new starberry collection. I got the big sheep pattern as soon as it came out and I’ve been planning on using strawberry for that and adding some extra borders to make it bigger. Now I have to rethink that plan because the sampler looks fantastic. I really appreciate how you will show your patterns in different fabrics. I try to only make one quilt per collection and then use the leftovers for table runners and smaller items. I discovered your fabrics when canning day was released and have since gone back and picked up your other collections in bits and pieces whenever I can find them. I am so looking forward to coriander colors I’m hoping I will be able to fill in my open spots of the older collections and be able to make larger quilts out of each. Peachy keen is definitely my favorite. I love peach and blue looks wonderful with it. I keep looking at my fat quarter bundle and wondering which pattern I’m going to end up making because they all look so great in it. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world, Deanna

Thank you!!! I’ve been waiting for this. 🙂

Hi Corey. I found 2 fat eighth bundles of apricot and ash and I have your Christmas book. Would I be able to make it with those 2 fat eighth bundles? I just love that line and wish I could find more. I just finished my second Beautiful Day quilt. I bought the kit and then had to get more fabric. I have to get the 2nd one quilted right away. It’s going to be a great summer quilt for my bed.

    • Corey says:

I know you couldn’t make it exactly as the pattern instructs (it would end up being scrappier) but I can’t say for sure how the fabric requirements would shake out using 2 F8 bundles instead of what it calls for.

  14. Laura Ashcraft says:

Will there be a kit for the Christmas one?

  15. Susan Salo says:

I have my version of this pin-basted and ready to quilt! It will be done for this Christmas for sure. I used Juniper by Kate & Birdie and it looks lovely.

  16. Debbie says:

I am new to your website. Where do I find the pattern for the Very Coriander Christmas quilt described on the front page thank you. Debbie

  17. Suzette Torrence says:

Thanks so much for the colors pattern I found my book with the pattern in it can’t wait for strawberry to be out

  18. Gail says:

I love the Apricot and Ash version as well as Christmas. I would love to see the Apricot and Ash with a darker sashing. Thank you for all the great patterns, fabrics and videos you do for us.

  19. Anita says:

This quilt looks amazing in the Starberry fabrics. So disappointed the book doesn’t ship outside USA. Is there any way to get the digital pattern?

    • Anita says:

Good news! I’ve located a book through a local supplier. Look forward to the fabric release.

    • Corey says:

I know I already responded to your other comment but I wanted to respond here as well in case others were wondering about this as well! If you are unable to find A Very Coriander Christmas in a local shop, there are online quilt shops that carry the book that will ship outside the USA. Fat Quarter Shop is the publisher of the book and they ship all around the world. Additionally, the book can be purchased on Amazon.

  20. Kam says:

A Very coriander Christmas in the Starberry fabric collection is gorgeous! I have the book, but I have not made the quilt yet. Can’t wait for the Starberry fabrics.

  21. Sharyn Hutchinson says:

Hi Corey, I love this. Do you know of a shop that will offer A Coriander Christmas quilt in Starberry as a kit?

    • Corey says:

I don’t know of any off hand. I always suggest checking with your favorite quilt shop to see if a kit might be an option. Most quilt shops are happy to kit a quilt if they are going to have the fabrics!

Hey Friends!--I'd love to hear from you. =)
