Peachy Keen Quilts

It’s Peachy Keen quilts day today friends!  I’m excited to share with you the new quilts that I’ve designed to show off my Peachy Keen fabric line. =)

I’m sharing all about the new quilts in today’s YouTube video.  You’ll get to see the quilts up close, see the fabrics a bit better, and hear me chat a bit more about the quilts.  Many of these new quilt patterns are excellent scrap busting patterns so in the video, I’ve shared more details about working from your scrap bin for some of these patterns.  You can watch the video here.  I’m sharing about them here as well so keep on reading! =)

I’ve designed 5 new patterns to work with my Peachy Keen fabrics.  If you missed my Peachy Keen fabrics blog post, you can find it here.

Up first, is Jelly Roll Patchwork:

Jelly Roll Patchwork Quilt

Jelly Roll Patchwork is a jelly roll friendly quilt that finishes at 56″ x 62″.  It requires a jelly roll plus a bit of fabric for the border to complete the quilt top.  I love having a pattern on hand that requires no background fabric…it’s so handy to just grab a jelly roll and start sewing!

David Hurd did almost all of the quilting for my Peachy Keen quilts.

All of the new Peachy Keen patterns are in my Etsy shop in both PDF and Paper versions.  You can purchase them here.

Scrap Basket Stars is a great scrap busting quilt that finishes at 60″ x 72″.  It can be made using a fat eighth bundle or if you have a bunch of 2 1/2″ and 3″ print squares, you could use those instead.

There is a great diagonal stripe in Peachy Keen that I used for all of my bindings.  I used the blue color above as well as the coral color.  It’s the prettiest, dainty stripe and it really frames out the quilts so nicely.

Another great scrap busting quilt is Hourglass Scraps.  This one is made using 2 1/2″ print squares.  That means you could easily use fabrics from your scrap bin.  You can also use either a layer cake or jelly roll if you preferred to use a precut.

Hourglass Scraps Quilt

I loved piecing this one.  The technique I came up to make this quilt is probably not what you would expect and it’s a neat way to piece these little scrappy, hourglass blocks.  Hourglass Scraps finishes at 60″ x 72″ also.  I’d really like to make this one again using only scraps–it would be a delightful quilt!

Next up are a couple of smaller quilts.  I added another quilt to the Barn Star round-up of quilts with Barn Star 6.

Barn Star 6

These 40″ square Barn Star patterns have proven to be very popular quilts.  They are so nice to use for a wall hanging, table topper, or even a baby quilt.

Because they are one block quilts, they piece together pretty quickly.  I thought this was such a cute picture of the Barn Star 6 quilt on my shed.  I don’t have it hanging there but I thought it was the perfect place to photograph it outside.  It looks like Tiggs thought so too. =)

I shared the first 5 Barn Star quilts in this video over on YouTube if you are new to them.

The last new quilt is a mini quilt…Jelly Sticks Mini.

Jelly Sticks Mini Quilt

This quilt is a mini version of my popular Jelly Sticks quilt pattern.  Here you can see the regular Jelly Sticks pattern:

Jelly Sticks Quilt made with Buttercup & Slate Fabrics

The original uses a jelly roll (you can purchase the pattern here) and finishes at 56″ x 68″ whereas the new Jelly Sticks Mini quilt uses a charm pack and finishes at 24″ square.  The pattern also includes an option to make the quilt as a table runner finishing at 12″ x 48″.

This is the only quilt of the new Peachy Keen quilts that I didn’t have David quilt for me.  I opted to quilt this one myself using a simple cross hatch quilting design.

All of the new patterns are in my Etsy shop now available to purchase in either PDF or Paper versions.  I also have a bundle deal if you are interested in purchasing all 5 of the new patterns.  You can find the individual patterns as well as the bundle of patterns available to purchase here.

Peachy Keen fabrics will be in quilt shops this fall.  Quilt shops are ordering these fabrics now so if you’d like to see them in your favorite quilt shop, now is the time to let your local shop know! =)

Don’t forget to pop by the YouTube video today if you’d like to see more about any of these quilts!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Corey

I absolutely love the colors in this fabric. Still fairly new to quilting. I am definitely getting the patterns and the fabric when it comes out. If it’s due in the fall, I will enjoy working on this over winter. Seriously this is my favorite out of all that I have seen.
