Sewcialites Block 6
Happy Saturday from chilly Ohio!
I don’t have a new YouTube video today. I took on a project this past Monday with a first deadline of April 3 so not quite 2 weeks which is quick in and of itself. However, I am out of town for a portion of next week so in reality I need to have that portion of the project turned in on the 31st. That has kept me on my toes this week….sooooo much computer work! But it’s been really fun.
Ryan asked me earlier this week when we’d be filming our YouTube video and I said I think we need to skip this week so I can keep working. I told him there was nothing pressing I needed to share this week so we’ll be back next week!
I did want to share the next Sewcialites block pattern here though with a quick blog post.
Our block pattern is called Window Seat and in keeping with the last 5 blocks, I have used Fruit Salad fabrics and chose the colors based on the image on the pattern.

I have started to see some of the Fruit Salad precuts showing up in quilt shops and yardage looks like it’s not going to be too far behind. I love these fabrics so much!…they are so summery and bright and just fun to sew with.
Speaking of Fruit Salad, I had a sudden thought to see what my Sweetest pattern would look like in Fruit Salad. Sweetest is the $5 pattern for just a few more days until the end of March.

That’s such a neat difference…Sweetest in Abloom feels like a spring-time quilt and then in Fruit Salad it’s summertime fun.

Love your Sweetest pattern in Fruit Salad! It gives me a bit of Sunwashed vibes, which is the fabric I am using for this year’s “BOM”.

Type Sewcialites 3 in the search box on the page and that will take you to a page where you can download each pattern with no charge. There is a place where it is also stored on the web, but I think the FQS site is the best way to get the patterns and you can read the blog about it.
